THE TOOLS / THE ROLES / THE BOUNDARIES

Find the tool.
Understand the role.

Models, editors, agent harnesses, and hosting panels solve different problems. Use this directory to put each one in the right part of your admin workflow.

Anthropic & Claude

Model provider / AI assistance

Anthropic provides Claude models and related tools. In an admin workflow, distinguish a model used to analyze text from the application that gives it context or tools. A familiar provider name does not describe the permissions of the environment around it.

Where it fits

Use this path for redacted configuration review, structured summaries, and prompt evaluation. Define success criteria, supply bounded evidence, and compare outputs against representative examples. Keep account settings and provider data handling in the review rather than assuming every interface works the same way.

Keep in mind

A model response is not evidence that a command ran or permission to execute it. Separate explanation, authorization, and action.

Cursor

AI coding environment

Cursor is relevant to the developer layer of an admin stack: understanding a repository, drafting changes, and reviewing code. Evaluate the particular local or cloud workflow you configure rather than treating all agent execution as identical.

Where it fits

Cursor’s run-mode documentation distinguishes approval and execution behavior for local agents. Review current settings and team policies in your actual installation. Begin with a disposable project and verify what the agent can read, modify, and run before using production-related material.

Before using it

Keep deployment secrets and live infrastructure authority separate from ordinary development work. Review generated changes as changes, not as trusted instructions.

Pi

Extensible coding-agent harness

Pi describes itself as a customizable agent harness. Its documentation covers extensions, skills, prompt templates, and different interaction modes. Here, “Pi” refers to the coding-agent project rather than Raspberry Pi hardware.

Where it fits

Use a harness evaluation to inspect the tools you expose, the input it receives, and the point where a proposal becomes execution. An extension is code with capabilities, so review its provenance and behavior alongside the model and prompt configuration.

Before using it

Test the configured permissions and sandbox or confirmation arrangement. Do not assume that another agent’s approval behavior also applies to this installation.

OpenClaw

Agent runtime / orchestration

The “Claw” topic on this site refers to OpenClaw. Its documentation covers agent runtimes, tools, channels, configuration, and operational controls. Keep the actual deployment and configured capabilities visible when evaluating an agent workflow.

Where it fits

Map who can send instructions, what context the agent receives, and which tools may act on a system. Review identity, secret handling, and the trust boundary before connecting production resources. Start with a narrow job and a disposable environment.

Before using it

A connected communication channel can bring in untrusted text. Receiving a message must not automatically grant that text authority over administrative tools.

Jev

Decision-oriented AI model

TypeSafe describes Jev as a model for typed decisions with probabilities rather than generated prose. This is a different output shape from a conversational draft or code suggestion; evaluate it against the specific decision your application needs.

Where it fits

Define the allowed result set, the uncertainty route, and the independent authorization policy. Test representative labeled examples, preserve disagreements, and measure your own outcomes. Consult current provider documentation for schemas and operating limits instead of relying on a fixed price or benchmark claim.

Before using it

A typed result or returned probability is not proof of correctness. Keep privileged actions behind deterministic permissions and appropriate human approval.

CloudPanel

Application-hosting control panel

CloudPanel documents site workflows including WordPress, PHP, Node.js, static HTML, Python, and reverse proxies. Use those documented site types as a starting point for evaluating your application’s specific hosting requirements.

Where it fits

Inventory the services around the site, including email, DNS, scheduled jobs, external storage, and recovery. Assign services managed elsewhere to an explicit owner. A representative migration test is more useful than assuming one panel screen replaces every part of an existing hosting account.

Before using it

Verify your chosen operating system, environment type, and application requirements against current official documentation before installation.
