AI operations / FIELD GUIDE

AI assistance. Human direction.

Put AI to work on the parts of administration that benefit from interpretation, drafting, and structured review. Keep the authority to change real systems separate from the ability to suggest a change.

Choose the right kind of output

An explanation, a code draft, a review finding, and a typed routing decision are different outputs. Define the contract before selecting a model. Include a useful outcome for missing information rather than forcing every request into a confident answer.

Understand the surrounding workflow

A model, an agent, and a harness are not interchangeable. The harness defines tools and execution behavior; the environment supplies real permissions. Evaluate the complete configured workflow, including cancellation, input handling, and approval boundaries.

Test before expanding authority

Begin with read-only or proposal-only tasks. Use representative examples, record the result, and compare it with human review. Expand scope only when observed evidence supports the new task and a responsible person owns the consequences.

Choose your next path.
