Change your panel. Keep control of the move.
The right cPanel alternative depends on the services behind your websites. Compare complete operating arrangements, not just interfaces, and test the parts that are easy to overlook.
Inventory before shortlisting
Record domains, application files, databases, mailboxes, scheduled tasks, DNS ownership, certificates, and external dependencies. Document credential retrieval separately without copying secret values into the inventory. Every required service needs an explicit destination.
Run the same trial for each candidate
Use a small but representative site with the dependencies that matter. Verify public pages, media, scheduled work, and any meaningful write operation. Capture the result and distinguish unresolved requirements from preferences you can trade off.
Know when switching back stops being simple
Define how writes are handled during the move and which environment is authoritative at each stage. After new data arrives on the destination, reversing DNS alone may not be a safe recovery plan. Keep the old environment until the agreed validation and retirement conditions are met.
